Genealogy Books and Genealogical Reference Materials

One of the best resources for genealogy books specific to a certain geographical area is to join a local chapter of a genealogical society. Most genealogical societies have gathered a wealth of genealogy reference material about their specific area. Local chapters assemble information from such sources as: local cemeteries; birth, marriage and death notices from local newspapers; census for their particular area; as well as complete family trees that have been submitted. Click on one of these links to go to The Canadian Provincial Genealogical Societies or to the Ontario Genealogical Society Chapters.

Books will be added as people submit their preferences. Please click on our contact button to submit a book you feel is useful as a genealogy reference.
